About Me

About

I am a passionate botanical textile designer and curator dedicated to preserving the beauty of nature through sustainable and heritage techniques. With a deep reverence for the environment and a love for traditional textile methods, I strive to create timeless exhibitions and textile design to inform and engage my audience.

I hold a MA in Curation from NUA and I am a fellow of the Royal Society of Artists and a fellow of the Society of Dyers and Colourists.

About

Throughout my design journey I have always held an admiration, for the environment and a strong commitment to recognizing the wisdom of underrepresented communities.

In todays world where sustainability is of importance I have taken it upon myself to embrace techniques rooted in the knowledge of ancient cultures and marginalized communities. By drawing inspiration from their tried and true practices my aim is to create designs that harmonize seamlessly with nature while celebrating diversity.

My approach to design revolves around a balance between aesthetics and ethics. With a respect for our Earth I strive to minimize my impact on the environment by utilizing eco materials and adopting sustainable practices. Furthermore my work aims to amplify the voices and talents of communities that have long been overlooked in the realm of design.

As you peruse through my portfolio you will come across a range of projects that embody my unwavering dedication to sustainability, cultural inclusivity and cutting edge design. Each creation serves as a testament to how design can inspire change while preserving the tapestry of traditions and knowledge our planet holds. Thank you for embarking on this journey, with me as we strive towards a sustainable and inclusive future.

Practice

Studying the techniques of past botanical practices allows me to infuse my exhibitions and textiles with a sense of timelessness. Although my curation practice is my main  This revival not only pays homage to their legacy but also rekindles the magic of botanical art for contemporary audiences

Curation

With each exhibition, I seek to transcend the boundaries of time, space, and culture, inviting you to immerse yourself in the intricate beauty of textiles and journeys that bridge the earthly and the ethereal. Join me on a voyage that celebrates the resonance of the ancient, the sanctity of the divine, and the enduring artistry that unites us all.

My curation focuses on the intangible aspects of life, that moment between breaths, the silence in each second. What are the opportunities within that present moment?
